Risk Placement Specialist
Summary
The Risk Placement Specialist assists in all facets of writing commercial lines new business from developing a submission to the delivery of a new policy. They foster a positive, caring environment while assuring the highest ethical standards, promoting the image of the Agency, and ensuring the superior levels of customer satisfaction that drive long-term relationships, referral business and the attainment of profit goals.
Responsibilities and Duties- Maintain a level of up-to-date knowledge of insurance company marketing appetite, underwriting requirements, product availability and pricing. Share this information with Producers and Commercial Lines Account Managers as requested.
- Review new business submissions provided by Producers working with the Producer to compile a complete and accurate submission. Forward the completed submission to various qualified insurance carriers for their review and quoting. Risks that can be quoted in-house are given to the rater.
- Organize and compile the various insurance quotes for review with the Producer. Prepare proposals when requested. Provide the Producer with all items necessary to finalize the sale including binders, certificates, FS20’s, documents to be signed and the deposit amount to collect. Set up the policy line in AMS360 once the proposal is accepted.
- Verify new business policies received are complete and accurate. Forward the insured’s copy of the policy to the Producer for delivery. Attach a copy of the policy in AMS360. An email is forwarded to the Commercial Lines Account Manager assigned including notes concerning any unusual class coding, rating, etc.
- Review and distribute incoming mail to other members of the department. Assist and train marketing employees as needed. Assist in developing and implementing department workflows as needed.
- Participate in various insurance company meetings, Agency meetings and educational seminars as needed. Maintain a cordial and professional working relationship with all insurance company personnel.
- Compile the monthly NEW and LOST Business Report each month.
- Assist partner agencies as needed.
- Perform any other related duties as required by management
- Min of 2 years’ experience with Commercial Lines Insurance marketing of coverage.
- Enjoys meeting new people and developing new relationships and highly motivated to succeed.
- Associates degree or higher preferred with two years managing, prioritizing, and organizational experience
- Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail, with excellent managerial and written and verbal communication skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet required and agency management systems such as AMS360, TAM and EPIC preferred
- Valid Property and Casualty Insurance Brokers license required
