Wealth Advisor & Portfolio Strategist  

 

Overview  

Our client is a growing regional wealth management firm seeking a Wealth Advisor & Portfolio Strategist to work closely with the firm's principals in serving high-net-worth individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have meaningful familiarity with portfolio construction, trust and estate planning, and income tax considerations. 


The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded wealth management background and be comfortable supporting clients' investment and planning needs. This individual will help connect portfolio strategy with broader financial, tax, and estate-planning objectives and will play an important role in both internal strategy and client-facing work. 


Key Responsibilities 


Portfolio Strategy and Investment Support  

  • Assist the principals with ongoing portfolio management, asset allocation, and investment implementation 
  • Support cash allocation and liquidity planning across client portfolios 
  • Prepare portfolio summaries, investment reviews, and planning-related analyses for internal use and client meetings 
  • Help evaluate and implement tax-aware investment strategies, including tax loss harvesting, gain management, and tax-sensitive rebalancing. Monitor portfolios in light of client goals, tax circumstances, trust structures, and estate planning considerations 


Wealth Planning 
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive wealth plans for high-net-worth clients and families 
  • Support planning work related to retirement, cash flow, concentrated positions, gifting, charitable planning, and multigenerational wealth transfer 
  • Help coordinate recommendations across investment, tax, and estate planning disciplines 
  • Participate in the preparation of client meeting materials, planning presentations, and follow-up recommendations 


Trust, Estate and Tax Planning Support 
  • Review estate plans, trust structures, and beneficiary arrangements to help identify planning considerations and implementation opportunities 
  • Assist the principals in evaluating trust and estate planning strategies, including gifting programs, trust funding considerations, basis-sensitive planning, and wealth transfer strategies 
  • Provide support on income tax-related planning issues, including capital gains, loss utilization, asset location, withdrawal strategy, and coordination with outside CPAs 
  • Help identify planning opportunities through review of tax returns and related client financial information 


Client Advisory Support 
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute as a thoughtful planning and investment resource
