Position Summary
To oversee the audit of all departments and subsidiaries and to provide leadership and direction to the personnel involved in the audit process, ensuring thoroughness and compliance at every level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certification(s) such as CPA, CBA, CIA, CISA, CMA, CFE, CRCM, or a strong willingness to pursue these designations is preferred.
- A minimum of five to seven years of progressive auditing experience is required, with preference given to those with exposure to the financial services industry. One to two years of supervisory or management experience is also necessary.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for clear and effective reporting.
- A solid understanding of human relations and the ability to maintain positive, collaborative relationships with associates and audited departments.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate financial and procedural data and to identify potential internal control weaknesses within existing systems.
- Proven organizational skills to manage audit activities efficiently.
- Proficiency in contemporary internal auditing theory, standards, procedures, and techniques is expected.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Standard is required to support audit documentation and reporting.
