Position Summary
The Underwriting Operations Analyst will report directly to Company's Program Operations Manager to support the Program Management Operations within the group. This role will collaborate with the Operations Team as well as offshore resources to support the management of insurance programs and ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives. The UW Operations Analyst will work alongside the Program Operations Manager to support underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance / accounting, legal & compliance departments, MGAs, and Internal IT teams to improve program outcomes and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- As a member of the Program Management Operations (PMO) team you will support the successful delivery of new insurance programs and the renewal of existing ones across the organization.
- Support data stewardship by working with Operations Manager as well as the partners and internal providers to enhance our capabilities and analytics across underwriting performance and claims experience. Support the collection, analysis, and utilization of data to drive informed decision-making and improve program outcomes.
- Work with Program Operations Manager to communicate, collaborate, and ensure seamless program execution and resource allocation.
- Assist in monitoring program performance and work with Program Operations Manager to provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Assist in change management efforts to adopt new processes and tools successfully.
- Review and summarize assigned underwriting referrals under the guidance of the underwriting team.
- Coordinate and lead the acquisition of offshore talent from selected partners to support the program management functions. Work with the provider account management team to review the performance of the team members and recommend changes as necessary.
- Provide customer service support to the business development team and partner program administrators.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data analytics and utilizing data to drive business decisions.
- Ability to work with a distributed team.
