Director of Investor Relations
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the day-to-day face with equity investors, effectively communicating the Company’s
- strategic vision and message, financial performance, and competitive positioning.
- Assist in the development of effective external and internal corporate messages; work closely with the CEO, CFO, CSO, and business leaders to craft and deliver strategic and tactical messages and disclosures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other key stakeholders in the financial community. Coordinate and participate in investor conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings to ensure consistent and transparent communication about company performance and strategy.
- Expand the Company’s sell-side coverage with leading P&C equity analysts.
- Assist with corporate communications, messaging, and strategy to amplify the Company’s specialty program insurance strategy, including ongoing refinements with respect to such communication strategy based on investor/analyst feedback.
- Develop collateral materials including press releases, presentations, Q&A, and scripts. Optimize the shareholder base, including targeting new investors.
- Ensure management and board awareness of market sentiment and equity value drivers through formal presentations and ad hoc updates.
- Monitor and analyze shareholder ownership and trends along with share price trends and valuation. Remain current on peer disclosures, financial reporting, and conduct comparative analysis.
- Remain current on relevant market and business news and activities.
- Actively participate in and manage the quarterly earnings process, including drafting of earnings script and related content, preparation for earnings call.
- Participate in and manage the IR calendar for meetings, calls, non-deal roadshows, conferences, and other events.
- Lead the development of the property and casualty investor relations operating plan and budget. Maintain close relationships with the executive management team, business unit leaders, and senior staff in finance, risk, legal, and HR.
- Manage third-party vendors and optimize usage
- Review and comment on SEC filings, including the 10-Q, 10-K, proxy, and 8-Ks.
- Manage and participate in governance outreach initiatives with investors in connection with the annual meeting and proxy process.
- Active member of the Disclosure Committee.
- Assist in the management of media relations and corporate communications.
Qualifications:
- More than ten years of experience in investor relations and finance, primarily in the property and casualty sector.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convert complex financial information into understandable prose.
- Ability to quickly analyze, grasp, and communicate financial and economic information about the company and industry.
- A sustained track record of building effective relationships with investors and analysts, primarily in the property and casualty sector.
